Veterans Day Freebies and Deals in Arizona
Veterans Day is Sunday, Nov. 11.
On that day, we honor and remember all of those who have fought, and those who are currently enlisted, in America’s Armed Forces. Thank you for your service.
Several businesses and restaurants are offering active, retired and reserved military members freebies and discounts. We have rounded up as many deals that we could find below.
You will need to show proof of military service.
FOOD DEALS
Spinato’s Pizzeria – Veterans can get a free entree (worth up to $15) on Veterans Day. Military ID required.
Bourbon Jacks Bar & Grill – The Chandler bar and restaurant will give vets a choice of either a free brunch or lunch on Veteran’s Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, you do have to purchase another entree first. Military ID or DD Form 214 required.
Dunkin’ (Donuts) – Active military and veterans can get a free doughnut from Dunkin on Nov. 11.
Riot Hospitality Group – Active military and veterans will receive 50-percent off their bill on Nov. 11 at any of Riot Hospitality Group’s restaurants: Farm & Craft, Hand Cut Burgers and Chophouse, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, El Hefe and Riot House.
Fired Pie – Active military and veterans can get a free pizza, salad or mac and cheese at any of Fired Pie’s locations on Nov. 11.
Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen – Military members can get a free 10-inch, one-topping pizza at Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen on Veteran’s Day. Must show military ID. Available for dine-in only.
Twin Peaks – Active military and veterans will be able to enjoy a free entree off a special menu. Twin Peaks has three locations in the Valley: Glendale, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.
Uptown Alley – The Surprise bowling alley will offer active, reserved and retired military a complimentary game of bowling and shoes on Veterans Day. They will also receive 15-percent off food.
347 Grill – Military members can enjoy a free lasagna dinner at the 347 Grill. Military ID, DD-214, or drivers license with veteran status required.
Famous Dave’s (Nov. 11 & 12) – Current and former military can get a free “Two Meat Salute” at Famous Dave’s restaurant on Nov. 11 and 12. Entree includes a choice of St. Louis-style ribs, Georgia chopped pork, Texas beef brisket; country-roasted or barbecue chicken; traditional or boneless chicken wings; southside rib tips; hot link sausage; chicken tenders; or beer-battered cod. Served with a cornbread muffin and side. Valid ID and proof of service required. Available for dine-in only at Chandler, Peoria, Mesa Riverview and SanTan Village mall. Tucson and Yuma locations excluded.
Octane Raceway – Veterans will save 15-percent off apps on Sunday, Nov. 11.
Applebee’s – Military members, both active and retired, can enjoy a free meal from a special menu on Nov. 11.
Buffalo Wild Wings – Active and former military can get a free small order of traditional or boneless wings, and a side of fries, at Buffalo Wild Wings on Nov 11. Proof of military service required. Available for dine-in only.
Cracker Barrel – Active and former military can get a free coffee or slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola Cake on Nov. 11.
On The Border – Current and retired military members can get a free meal at On The Border on Nov. 11.
Chili’s – Active and former military can get a free meal at Chili’s from a special menu on Nov. 11. Military ID required.
California Pizza Kitchen – Active and former military can get a free pizza, salad or pasta dish from CPK restaurants on Nov. 11. Dine-in only. Proof of military service required.
Hooters – Military members can get a free meal from a special menu on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Military ID and beverage purchase required.
Harold’s Cave Creek Corral – Active and former military can get half-price on any breakfast, lunch or dinner on Sunday, Nov. 11. Military ID required.
Ghett’ Yo’ Taco – Military members can get a free three-taco combo at Ghett’ Yo’ Taco on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Nicandtoni’s – Military members will receive a free order of garlic knots. Ten-percent of the day’s proceeds will benefit American Legion Post 39 in Gilbert’s effort to restore its building after it was damaged in a fire.
Ginger Monkey – Military members can get a free meal (up to $12) on Sunday, Nov. 11. Proof of military service is required. Between Nov. 12-18, military members can get 20-percent off.
Native Grill and Wings – Active and retired military can get a free entree up to $11.99 at any Native location on Sunday, Nov. 11. Dine-in only and military ID is required.
Arcadia Tavern – The Arcadia sports bar is offering 30-percent off to military members on Sunday, Nov. 11.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria (Nov. 11 & 12) – Veterans can get 15-percent off on Nov. 11 and 12.
Red Lobster (Nov. 11 & 12) – Active and former military can get a complimentary appetizer or dessert on Nov. 11 and 12. Military ID required.
Z’Tejas (Nov. 11 & 12) – Military members can get a free order of cornbread on Nov. 11 and 12. Veterans can also get a $25 gift card to be used toward a future visit. Military ID required. Dine-in required.
Taco Guild (Nov. 11 & 12) – Military members who eat at Taco Guild on Nov. 11 and 12 will receive a free order of chips and salsa and a $25 gift card to be used at a future visit. Military ID required. Available for dine-in only.
Original Breakfast House (Nov. 12) – The Valley breakfast house will celebrate Veterans Day on Nov. 12. Veterans can receive a complimentary breakfast off a limited menu, or $12 off an item on their regular menu. Choices include OBH Benedict, green pork chili benedict, shrimp and grits; garden hash and eggs, raspberry and cream crepes, or apple fritter waffle.
West Alley Barbecue & Smokehouse (Nov. 12) – Military members can get a pork or chicken sandwich and a side on Monday, Nov. 12. Military ID required.
Golden Corral (Nov. 12) – Active and former military members can get a free meal at Golden Corral on Nov. 12. The offer is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Military ID required.
Harkins Theatres (Nov. 12) Military members can receive a free small popcorn on Monday, Nov. 12 at all of this theatres. Proof of service required.
Giordano’s (year-round discount) – The Chicago pizzeria offers military members 20-percent off year-round, including Veterans Day. Military ID required. They have two locations in the Valley: Paradise Valley and Peoria.
Unbaked (year-round discount) – Military members can score 25-percent off edible cookie dough and ice cream. Military ID required. This discount is available year-round.
B2 Burgers & Brews (year-round discount) – Veterans and active duty military can get a free classic burger and fries on Sunday, Nov. 11. Military ID required. However, military members save 10-percent year-round.
DESTINATION AND ACTIVITIES DEALS
Free entrance to most Arizona State Parks – Active military and veterans can visit most of the state parks for free on Veterans Day. Proof of military service is required.
Free entry to National Parks – Entrance fees will be waived for everyone at all National Parks on Veterans Day, including Grand Canyon, Saguaro and Petrified Forest national parks in Arizona. This is the last fee-free day of the year.
Free entry to National Forests (Nov. 9-11) – Entrance fees will be waived at all national forests from Nov. 9 to 11.
Free entry to Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art – Military members can visit SMoCA for free on Veterans Day.
AZ On The Rocks (Nov. 9-11) – From Nov. 9 to 11, veterans and active duty military members can climb the rock walls for free.
Free movie at UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle – Military veterans can see a movie for free at UltraStar between Nov. 9 and 12. Military ID, DD-214, or drivers license with Veteran status required
$10 off Velocity VR at Octane Raceway – Military veterans can save $10 on a Velocity VR session at Octane Raceway. It is a wireless virtual reality experience. Tickets are normally $40 to $45 per person. Military ID required.
50% off Phoenix Suns tickets – Current and former military can score 50-percent off tickets to the Phoenix Suns game against the San Antonio Spurs on Nov. 14, part of APS’ Military Appreciation Night. Military members will also receive 30-percent off at the team shop and 20-percent off concessions. Military ID required.
Jake’s Unlimited – The Mesa attraction is giving current and retired military free access to the all-you-can-eat buffet, rides and laser tag Nov. 10-12 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. The redemption code is “VETERAN”.
SERVICES
Free haircut – Current and former military members can get a free haircut on Nov. 11 or a coupon for a free haircut at any Great Clips locations.
Free acupuncture treatment – Current and former military can get a free treatment at Modern Acupuncture. They have five locations in the Valley. Appointments can be made online or by calling each location directly. Valid through Nov. 11. Military ID required.
