Traffic congestion can be finally solved with the new project on Sepulveda Pass on 405 Freeway
“Waking up in the morning, taking your breakfast, kissing your loved ones and rushing to work – simple routine day everyone has, isn’t it? And here comes a big “but”: how many hours do you spend
to get to your workplace every day? How does traffic congestion affect your life? Did you ever regret the time you spent if traffic jam instead of enjoying your family moments?”
“At this point we cannot deny that the part of Sepulveda Pass through the 405 Freeway is one of the Southern California worst congestion bottlenecks ever with over 400, 000 people travelling through
the stretch of the freeway every day. “”It addresses a critical need that we have in Los Angeles County. The Sepulveda Pass is one of the worst congestion bottlenecks in Southern California,”” said Dave Sotero
during the meeting with Metro Wednesday night.”
“As you know, Metro presented concepts for its Sepulveda Transit Corridor project to put some type of train from the San Fernando Valley to the Westside, and finally there might be seen a light in the end
of the tunnel. All the proposed lines would connect with other rail lines and to the airport. According to Metro representatives, there going to be few stations so 15 minutes would be a dream.”
The money for the project is there and it was approved by voters in 2016 with Measure M. The project could qualify for accelerated completion, which means it could be done by 2028 – just in time for the Olympics!
