Team Blake: Kyla Jade — She kicked off the Top 10 live performances with an emotional rendition of “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman. Kyla took the stage in a sparkling red gown, with a slew of backup singers behind her, which she didn’t need. This had to be her best performance of the season and her coach even said she earned her ticket to next week’s Semi Finals.
Team Kelly: Kaleb Lee — He performed “Boondocks” by Little Big Town, because he was missing home and wanted to pay tribute to his native. His wife and mother even showed up, where they cheered him on in the audience.
Team Adam: Jackie Verna — This week Adam took his team to Conway, a special place for Maroon 5 that he wanted his team to experience. Verna chose to perform “Love Triangle” by RaeLynn, because the song discusses divorce, something she said a lot of her friends experience with their families.
Team Adam: Rayshun Lamarr — Per usual, Rayshun hit the stage with yet another energetic performance. He sang “Grant Green” by Mr. Jukes and impressed the judges, especially his coach. Adam said his performance felt like he just dropped an album and came out and promoted it flawlessly!
Team Blake: Spensha Baker — Spensha decided to take a pop/country approach this week singing “Red” by Taylor Swift. Her outlook on life is to go through things, good or bad, and to feel them fully so you can truly live your life. And, she felt as though “Red” helped represent that. Her coach said it was her best performance yet. You’re going to make country music history, you’re going to be a star,” Blake said.
Team Kelly: Jackie Foster — She set out to sing her most emotional song with “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles.
Team Alicia: Britton Buchanan — He performed a “What’s Love Got to Do With It” by Tina Turner
Team Alicia: Christiana Danielle — This week was all about letting go of her fears, so she channeled her confidence and beauty that her mother always told her. She chose to perform “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers with a deep and soulful tone. Christiana put on thee best performance of this season and everyone felt it. It was emotional, powerful, confident and it’s safe to say, her fears are gone.
Team Blake: Pryor Baird — Since this week was all about challenges, Pryor decided to sing “My Town” by Montgomery Gentry because the chorus has a different tone than the rest of the song.
Team Kelly: Brynn Cartelli — She chose “Fix You” by Coldplay to close the show because it’s a song that anyone can turn to when times are hard. Brynn said she wanted to sing for her family.
